Van Wert Police

November 18, 3:36 p.m. — Cara J. Phillips, 25, of 1116 Kear Road, Apt. 36, was charged with theft as a result of an alleged shoplifting incident at the local Walmart store.

November 18, 6:35 p.m. — Jared A. Smith, 25, of 205 W. Maple Ave., was arrested on a probation violation charge, while Ian M. Smith, 27, of the same address, was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

November 18, 8:32 p.m. — Mary Elizabeth Showman, 52, of 738 N. Jefferson St., was charged with domestic violation for an incident that occurred at her residence. Another resident of that address, Trent D. Lacy, 45, was arrested for probation violation.
