Crime Stoppers 9/24/13

Crime Stoppers will pay you cash for information if it will help the Van Wert County Sheriff’s Department solve several thefts that have been occurring in Ridge, Washington, York and Jennings townships in Van Wert County.

Between September 18 and 19, the sheriff’s office received several reports of items being stolen. Some of the items reported stolen were a Smith and Wesson 380 handgun with a black holster, several tools, a mustard yellow purse, and a Mantis Grander tiller.  The thieves could be using four-wheelers to travel to and from each location.

In the same general area, a dark-colored van was seen driving with no headlights at approximately 4:45 a.m. on September 19. The van was described as possibly a late 1990s Dodge Caravan.
