City man arrested in Van Wert drug bust

The West Central Ohio Crime Task Force and the Allen County Sheriff’s Office Tactical Team executed a search warrant at 308 S. Chestnut Street in Van Wert and arrested a resident of the home on a probation violation charge. The search warrant was obtained as a result of a controlled drug buy at the residence.

The search of the residence recovered used hypodermic needles, as well as a small quantity of suspected methamphetamine, suspected heroin, crushed prescription pills and a small quantity of suspected prescription pills.

Drew Kenny, 20, was arrested and is currently being held at the Van Wert County Correctional Facility.

The West Central Ohio Crime Task Force is comprised of officers from Allen County and Van Wert County sheriff’s departments, Lima and Delphos police departments, and multiple state and federal agencies. The task force operates within a multi county area to combat drugs and major crimes.
