November 24, 9:16 p.m. — Craig S.R. Bergman, 18, of Antwerp, was charged with underage possession of alcohol and the improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle as a result of a traffic stop near the intersection of Washington Street and Bonnewitz Avenue. He was also cited for failure to register a motor vehicle.

November 24, 10:43 p.m. — James D. Wilson, 55, of 414½ S. Washington St., was charged with theft after he allegedly attempted to steal candy from Family Video, 244 W. Main St.

November 23, 11:28 p.m. — Tremaine A. Boaz, 25, of 544 S. Shannon St., was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia as a result of a traffic stop in the 100 block of South Avenue.

November 23, 3:38 p.m. — Rachelle A. Martinez, 28, of 603 Pewterboy Ave., was arrested on a warrant issued on behalf of the Van Wert County Sheriff’s Department.

November 23, 7:57 p.m. — Hunter A. Hernandez, 16, of 217 Spencer Drive, and Steven B. Kopp, 18, of 706 W. Main St., were charged with underage possession of alcohol as a result of a traffic stop near the intersection of Walnut Street and Hillcrest Drive.

November 21, 9:56 p.m. — Trenton P. Highley, 20, of Mendon, a passenger in a vehicle stopped near the intersection of Main and Washington streets, was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, while the driver of the vehicle, Christopher M. Shinn, 27, of Rockford, was cited for a red light violation.

November 23, 9:58 a.m. — The theft of a pre-lighted Christmas tree and stand was reported in front of Sisters Bridal Boutique, 101 W. Main St.

November 21, noon — A 12-year-old was charged with theft as a result of the theft of items from the YMCA, 241 W. Main St.
