Van Wert Police

October 20, 11:53 p.m. — A number of teenagers were cited for underage consumption and other charges as a result of an underage drinking party allegedly held at the Van Wert West Apartments on West Main Street. Those cited for underage consumption include Damon M. Keeran, 17, of Fort Jennings; Heath Lee Girardot, 17, of Cloverdale; Caitlin Jean Hobbs, 16, of Delphos; Elizabeth R. Craft, 19, of Willshire; Jesstin A. Foust, 19, of Delphos; Daniel H. Walsh, 17, of 816 W. Main St., Apt. 38; Amy J. Hartman, 16, of 1220 E. Ervin Road; and Brook D. Brown, 16, of Convoy. In addition, Kendra F. Stocklin, 19, of 816 W. Main St., Apt. 38, was charged with underage consumption and furnishing a place for underage consumption. A 15-year-old Van Wert resident was also charged with underage consumption, but his name was not released because of The Van Wert independent’s age policy.

October 21, 12:10 a.m. — Clayton T. Thomas, 19, of Celina, was charged with operating a vehicle while impaired (OVI) and underage consumption as a result of a traffic stop in the 200 block of East Central Avenue. A passenger in the vehicle, Michael A. Baldauf, 23, of Mendon, was cited for an open container violation.

October 20, 10:50 p.m. — Shain D. Sawmiller, 35, of Celina, was cited for an open container violation as a result of a traffic stop in the 100 block of Hospital Drive.

October 20, 11:09 p.m. — Courtney N. Landin, 22, of Fort Jennings, was cited for an open container violation as a result of a traffic stop near the intersection of Walnut Street and Hospital Drive.

October 19, 11:43 p.m. — Michael M. Whisman, 21, of 513 W. Main St., was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia as a result of a traffic stop near the intersection of Jackson and Wall streets.
