This year marks the 43rd annual Lambert Days in Ohio City. The fun begins on Thursday evening with a pageant held at the Community Building in Firemen’s Park, right on Ohio 118, beginning at 6 p.m.

The celebration kicks into high gear Friday with a steak dinner at 4 p.m. There are all types of activities and food for the whole entire family. Everything from Henry “The Bulldog” Rife’s ATV show, a men’s softball tournament, and a host of many other fun-filled activities.

Kids will enjoy the many bouncy house items; also this year will be an electric bull and a bouncy trampoline. Both will be available for only a limited time during Lambert Days, so be sure and get on out to be a part of the fun.

On Sunday, the annual Lambert Days Parade will take place, featuring a number of local units as well as the TRSS Drum Corps. Those wanting to be a part of the parade, but have not been contacted, can call Robert Dorsett at 419.965.2954. Line-up will be in the general area of the Mercer Landmark in Ohio City and will begin at approximately 1 p.m. Those wanting to participate can either call for info or come and fill out forms the day of the parade.

Come see the Lambert cars and see why Ohio City residents are so proud of their history and heritage.

Also this weekend, the Van Wert County Historical Society will be hosting its Railroad Heritage Days Model Railroad Show and Swap Meet from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday, July 16, and noon-3 p.m. Sunday, July 17.
