Area law enforcement agencies investigated two accidents, one of them a fatal crash, over the weekend.

The Paulding County Sheriff’s Department investigated a one-vehicle fatality that occurred at 1:51 a.m. Sunday in Auglaize Township. Sheriff David Harrow said identification of the lone occupant in the vehicle has not yet been determined.

Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Van Wert Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Paulding Fire Department and EMS and the Paulding County Coroner’s Office.

No further details will be released until identification has been made and the next of kin notified.

On Saturday morning, troopers from the Lima Post of the State Patrol investigated an injury accident involving a commercial truck and car that occurred at 11:49 a.m. at the intersection of Ohio 65 and Ohio 12 in Putnam County. The accident closed the intersection and Ohio 65 for several hours.

The Patrol was assisted by the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department, Columbus Grove Fire & EMS Department, and Meyers Towing. No other information has been released at this time.
